HEAP

Home Energy Assistance Program

HEAP (Home Energy Assistance Program) is a federally funded program to assist low-income households in meeting their heating needs. HEAP is administered by local Social Services and supervised by the New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance (OTDA). HEAP is a seasonal program with regular and emergency benefits and has funds for equipment replacement and repair. Applicants must meet HEAP's eligibility requirements.

Putnam Valley Petroleum does not administer the HEAP program and has no influence on eligibility and/or receipt of benefits. Putnam Valley Petroleum is a Service Provider, and services will be provided upon receipt of confirmation from the corresponding HEAP office for the grant of benefits.
